Engle Art Gallery

case study

Project Overview

Engle Art Gallery is an accomplished art space situated in Greensboro, Alabama. The gallery commemorates the life achievements of Frank and Bethany Engle, in addition to being an art gallery for the works from the Black Belt and the Southeast Regions. Even in his death, Prof. Frank Engle, a practicing award-winning artist and professor at the University of Alabama, continues to resonate in many elements of art and design. This project establishes a new identity for the brand regarding logo design and social media attention through the implementation of interactive video content.

Deliverables

Videos: Three short-form videos (15-60 seconds each) tailored for social media platforms.

Takeaways

  • Community Impact
  • Legacy
  • Visual Design

The Engle Art Gallery is not just a building for displays of art; it is part and parcel of the heritage of all artistic practices characteristic of Alabama. These instruments complement each other in that they guarantee the continuation of the institution’s history in a contemporary setting and encourage a new cohort of makers and appreciators of art.

I stumbled upon the Engle Art Gallery, which was a pleasant surprise! The exhibitions were intimate and inspiring—seeing art rooted in the Black Belt’s culture was moving. Greensboro is the perfect place for this gallery, with its serene vibe and welcoming locals. It’s worth the detour!
